Very stupid, glad it was free. Took about 20 minutes to read. Kind of like reading a silly comic book.
I do not like cute short stories. This little vignette is fun. The world-building is first rate. I bought this little tale while in the throes of Alexis Carew Addiction withdrawal. It did not help relieve the pain. I'm still suffering as I await the next installment in March 2019. Addiction is a terrible burden....

Nicely done spin on the urban fae genre, with vague echoes of both the song of the title, and Orwell's Animal Farm
Random, weird but well written and kind of entertaining.
I read it because it is JA Southerland, and while he/she continues to impress with writing skill the idea did not grab me.

A cute story. He's very good at capturing the rush of emotion. But it felt like once he got it all set up, the author had absolutely no idea of where to go with the story. So he ended it. Bang. A little on the unsatisfying side. Worth reading for the good parts. But overall, unsatisfying.
